With its 134 m in diameter, The London Eye is the biggest wheel in the world.
A double innovation ... Rotating capsules that turn by themselves to provide a constant horizontal floor. Made from curved laminated glass of optical quality, exclusive technology POMA, and set outside the structure of the wheel, they offer an ideal panoramic view.
For a comfortable welcome, the capsules are air conditioned and equipped with a multimedia system.
The wheel rotates continuously at low speed. This system allows the welcoming and loading of Disabled Persons.
Each capsule has an automated rotation control that ensures a constant horizontal floor. The capsules are connected by wireless connection to a PC monitor.
The capsules are powered continuously through a system of rails and electrical brushes attached to the wheel.
A system of tires directly connected to the wheel allows its rotation. It is the company SEMER from the group POMA, who provide remote piloting thanks to automation with a control center.
