When the evacuation of materials is made complex by the presence of a wide river, when the distance to the next bridge is long and repetitive; the choice of a modern and economic solution is imperative. Replacing a former device, with a too low capacity, the cable way for materials insures a good operational performance, at a reduced cost. Seduced by its availability of service, the Doe Run Peru Company chose the solution of a material ropeway POMA.

The Cable way is the ideal device to overcome major obstacles (road, river, mountain, forests, and valleys) which would have required an important diversion or expensive construction work. Economic, ecological, the air transport by cable is the long-lasting alternative solution to road or rail transport.
For a non-stop loading, and a continuous functioning of the installation, the hopper is synchronized with the position of the vehicle. This is the ideal solution for the transport of fluid materials and for non agglomerates, like scoria (waste stemming from the treatment of ore).
A drive tensioning system with a high motor torque, the Alpha motor station is adapted to the slow speed of the vehicles, which requires a strong tension and a high engine torque. It is the ideal choice for a device to transport materials.
Simple and effective, the opening of the lower trap for each bucket allows the unloading of the materials directly into a collection-hopper.
Extremely simplified for a maximal reliability. The asynchronous motor works directly with the reducer. The horizontal profile allows the installation of a unique brake on the sheaves.
