More about

The project

The Vin Pearl gondola lift crosses a 3-kilometre stretch of sea to connect the town of Nha Trang to the tourist island of Vin Pearl. Its construction required a truly creative mindset. The maximum height imposed by the country's aviation regulations had to be respected, and the tide had to be taken into account as well.

Building on its success, in 2011 eighteen new cabins were added to boost the system's performance.

POMA, innovation

for the project

More comfort

A spectacular ride and incredible views delight its visitors and make the discomfort of sea crossings – which could be quite harrowing in heavy seas – a thing of the past.

Submerged
towers

The concrete blocks on which the seven towers rest are anchored 130 feet below the sea. A first for POMA!

Unique design

In line with the customer’s request, the towers are shaped like the Eiffel Tower.
