POMA surface lifts were installed as early as the 1950s in the first North American stations. Around thirty years later, POMA established itself for the long-term in Colorado to support the resurgence of the winter sports market.

Its presence was further consolidated in 2000 when the American subsidiaries of POMA and LEITNER came together to give rise to LEITNER-POMA of America.

LPOA leverages its experience and know-how to build ropeway transport installations in the United States and Canada, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Exclusive POMA installations are designed, produced and installed by LPOA, whose expertise and customer proximity have firmly established its reputation in the industry.

LPOA’s iconic achievements can be found in the legendary stations of the United States:  Alta and Snowbird in Utah and Aspen, Vail, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado

LPOA engineers work closely with our customers to design and customise a one-off product. With the ability to provide a local solution in terms of design, manufacturing and installation, LPOA offers the most optimal solution in terms of performance and cost. Our project engineers and field teams give their best, and thanks to constant communication with customers and partners, the results are there.

 

Service

Thanks to its proximity, LPOA also carries out servicing operations for installations. LEITNER-POMA has a large stock of spare parts and provides a 24-hour online service. Malfunctions can be detected through remote monitoring, diagnosed, and then corrected with the help of our technical experts.

 

Operations & Maintenance

LPOA oversees the operation and maintenance of urban ropeway transport system to guarantee passenger comfort and customer peace of mind. LPOA offers an “à la carte” service to ensure the daily functioning of mountain transport systems, as well as in urban areas, for the leisure industry, or the transport of materials.
