“A participatory approach was implemented concerning the development of new eco-designed, low-impact products: firstly by listening to our customers (primarily mountain resort operators), in order to identify the most beneficial areas of development for them. Our customers’ technical and CSR teams also participated in our research, having defined the environmental and social challenges requiring action in future years.

Secondly, we involved the various departmental teams across POMA and the POMA Group’s subsidiaries, in order to compile the most comprehensive accumulation of analysis and then implement the most relevant technical solutions. In this way, the entire product life cycle has been improved thanks to the design, engineering, construction, operation, maintenance and dismantling teams.

This process of co-development has paid off regarding the major progress we have made in terms of the reduction of CO2 emissions, as well as it providing an enriching social experience for all involved.”
