In 2022, the authorities in Sikkim launched a cable car in Pelling, the 12th built by POMA in India. One kilometer long, it has 14 eight-seater cabins and connects the town to Sanghak Choeling Monastery, facilitating access to the bodhisattva Chenrezig.
