Cairo’s MiniMetro®, a first on the African continent, is fully automated. Composed of two trains with a capacity of 170 passengers, the carriers of the APM operate via a technological process that allows them to travel on a thin strip of area. POMA Egypt has been managing the “Full E&M” contract for all operational and maintenance work on the APM for 10 years. It is staffed by 20 employees and boasts an average availability rate of 99.75% since 2013.
