Funiflaine, a new valley lift enhancing quality of life in the region
At the heart of the Grand Massif Resort, the new Funiflaine valley lift will usher in a whole new approach to mobility in mountain areas while cutting road traffic, in line with the region’s sustainable development policy. Connecting the valley to the ski resort of Flaine, the future aerial tramway will be used to carry people and their luggage, as well as supplies for shops and hotels in the skiing area.

Inclined Elevator
The funiculars use the technology of vertical elevators. Their optimal range of application is short journeys, on a sloping track and on a straight line. With their complete automation, they work without an operator.

Automated People Mover – APM
An APM, Automated People Mover, is a fully automatic system without drivers and usually moves along on a flat plane, which differentiates it from funicular railways. Unlike with automotive vehicles, the machinery and motor equipment are located remotely thanks to the rope. Thus, the APM is often described as “light metro” technology, in the sense that the infrastructure (viaduct, track structure, etc.) and installation are lighter and faster.

The longest urban cable car in France and Europe, Téleo, has been inaugurated in Toulouse. Fast and eco-responsible, the aerial line covers 3 kilometers in about ten minutes and serves one of the city's major activity areas, perfectly interconnected with its transportation network.

To retrofit its urban overhead transport system, the city of Chiatura chose POMA. Four small urban ropeways, developed specifically to satisfy the needs in terms of capacity and the constraints regarding distances, have replaced some (very) old Russian ropeways.

An emblematic feature of the valley for more than 30 years, the funicular railway of Saint Maurice was one of the first elevators in the Alps. It was renovated in 2019. A pioneer in multimodal travel, Bourg Saint Maurice offers thousands of skiers and daily users a direct link between the skiing area of Les Arcs and the railway network in just 7 minutes.

Yeosu Cablecar
Compared to the construction of a third bridge, the Yeosu gondola lift was the ideal solution to connect the island of Doslando to the mainland. Discreet, comfortable, fast and environmentally friendly, the gondola lift is perfectly suited to the city's transportation needs.
This original voyage over the Namhae Sea also quickly won over the passengers, and the Yeosu gondola lift quickly became a major attraction in the area.

With the installation of this ultra-modern aerial tramway, POMA has provided New Yorkers with the most advanced technology in urban ropeway transportation. It is 960 m long and connects Roosevelt Island to Manhattan in just three minutes, passing over the East River in great comfort with unique views of New York through the huge windows on both cabins.

More than 8,000 passengers will board the cabins of the Téléo tricable ropeway every day. Part of the Toulouse Agglomeration’s transport network, it crosses a river and travels over a hill to link three major hubs of activity in the south of Toulouse: the University Cancer Institute, Rangueil Hospital and Paul Sabatier University.
